Galeon Sky
The waterfront and channel at St. Petersburg, Florida

01Departs from our home dock

St. Petersburg

Our home water, and the shortest run to the best of it.

02The water

Galeon Sky is based on the south side of St. Petersburg, which puts the pass, the sandbars and open Gulf water inside half an hour of leaving the dock.

Most charters here run the same shape: out through the channel, anchor at Shell Key or Egmont for the swimming, then back up the coast as the light drops.

03On the route

Where a day here goes.

  • 01

    Shell Key Preserve

Pale sand, shallow water, and no road to it.

  • 02

    Egmont Key

A island fort at the mouth of Tampa Bay, reachable only by boat.

  • 03

    Pass-a-Grille

The run out through the pass, and the best sunset line on the coast.

  • 04

    The Skyway

Under the bridge and back, with the whole bay opening behind you.
